BMW announced earlier today the 335is will not make the transatlantic journey to Europe which a lot of BMW fans will find a shame…

The 335is will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5,3 seconds with the 7-step DCT transmission. The manual gearbox will do it in 5,4 seconds.

For the Europeans wanting one of these, I guess you will have to import them. Shame on you BMW!

Bad news for the dealer but great news for us BMW fans. The first official pictures of the 335is after we found the leaked specs before.

BMW just released the M-kit for the new 3-series and now we’re being treated with the 335is.

BMW introduced the N55 engine but the 335is still gets the old N54 twin turbo. This means 326bhp and 450Nm torque and when the overboost is activated we even get over 500Nm torque.

Shifting is done using the welknown dual clutch technology. Also bigger rimms are added just like with the M3 and the optional M-kit for regular 3-series. Who studies the pictures well will notice the reflectors on the front bumper which means… American. Therefore we can only assume the 335is is only for the US and Canada but we hope BMW will announce a European release aswell.

If you want to add some punch to your brand-new 2011 3-series you can always buy the M-kit.

For starters you can choose the exclusive “Le Mans Blue” color. Then you get a brand new front spoiler, rear spoiler and sideskirts. The M-kit also allows you to choose between 3 different rimms sized 18 or 19 inch, a bmw motorsport suspension and the BMW Individual High Gloss Shadowline we all like so much.

On the interior you get the M steeringwheel, aluminum finish, a new roof coating nad sport seats. Also M shifting paddles, doorstrips and M gearleaver are bound to appear.

BMW 3-series (2011) Cabrio M-sport

In march the new and improved 3-series coupe and convertible will by available at a dealership near you. Pretty standard upgrades: new headlights, nose, bumpers and taillights. Also a couple of new engines are available.

The 335i version will be powered with the new N55 engine used in the new BMW 135i.  The biggest difference between the 135i and 335i is the transmission, which will be a 7-step double clutch automatic.

Also 2 new diesels make their way. The 320d now delivers 184bhp and a total of 380m which is 30 more than it did before. The 325d will deliver 204 bhp.

The new and improved design is mainly focussed on the front. The new front bumper with a 3-way intake with integrated foglights. The headlights are now sharper around the edge and now have the typical BMW eyebrows. LED taillights are now standard, new sidemirrors and extra details in the rear bumper.  This increases the total length of the car by 3 centimeters.

We know Brabham from the BT92, which was introduced last year at the Essen Motorshow. Now they amaze once again with the ‘little’ brother of the BT92, the BT09 Turbo.

The exterior looks a lot like the BT92 but we do notice other rimms and ‘BT09turbo’ on the sideskirts. We don’t know much about this car but what we do know is the BT09 isn’t based on an M3 but on a 335i. (Which we can tell from the mirrors)

The power has increased from 306bhp to 455bhp and a topspeed of +300km/h.
