The pictures of the new 5-series (f10) have finally arrived. Less controversial and a more agressive styling are key here.

The new pictures aren’t a very big surprise since we’ve already seen a lot of pictures and it’s pretty clear Chris Bangle is a closed chapter in the future BMW era.

It really fills in the ‘gap’ between the current 3 and 7-series in my opinion and is a perfect blend of the two. (This means I would actually buy one of these)

Diesel drivers will be happy with the 520d, producing 184bhp and from zero-to-hundred in 8,1 seconds. The 525d produces 204bhp and sprints from 0 to 100 in 7,2 seconds, the 530d does this in 6,21 seconds with 245bhp.

If you don’t want a diesel you can start with the 523i, a 3.0 6-cil engine with 204bhp, topping at 238km/h and 0-100 in 7,9 seconds. Moving up the list we have the 528i, using the same engine as the 523i but with some added power, 258bhp. The 535i is very interesting with the already well-known 3.0 twin-turbo 6-cil engine which produces 306bhp, a top speed limited at 250km/h and from 0 to 100 in 6 seconds.

The current flagship is the 550i. A big V8 twin-turbo monster producing 407bhp and pushing the 5-series from 0 to 100 in only 5 seconds. We are all very curious to find out the engine specs on the new M5

The most important (new) feature is the ConnectDrive: a beta-internet media system full of apps connected to the internet.
