BMW presented the armored versions of the new 7-series. The 750Li and 760Li are being offered in a “High Security” edition. They both apply to the VR7 regulations. The bodywork even applies for the VR9 regulation.

Dingofling

The cars are being build in the factory in Dinglofling where they build the regular 7-serie models. According to BMW this is possible since the development of the High Executive is equal to the new high-end model.

Airtight

The bottom of the car is now extra secure with heavy armor to protect passengers from explosions. The interior can be sealed off, therefor the car has it’s own airsupply and an intercom to stay in touch with the outer world in case of emergency.

No changes for the engines

BMW delivers a V12 with 544bhp and 750Nm torque and a 4,4 liter V8 with 407bhp and 600Nm torque. The performance has decreased a bit due to the extra weight being added by the armor but still does 7,9 to 60mph and the 760Li does it in 6,2.
