Here it is, the new 2011 BMW X3. BMW now offers 2 ultra-modern engines. A four-cylinder diesel in the X3 xDrive20d producing 135 kW/184 bhp and a six-cylinder X3 xDrive35i delivering 225 kW/306 bhp.

For the first time the six-cylinder features an Auto start-stop function in conjunction with the eight-speed automatic transmission. A new suspension technology and electric power steering also feature for the first time in a BMW  X model.

Right before BMW announces the new BMW M5, Nowack introduces a small upgrade for the current M5.

We’ve already seen Nowack do the Cooper S, X5m and X6m and now they took care of the E60 M5.

They already did the M5 and called it the N635S with 635bhp but to honor the current M5 and give it a proper goodbye, they introduced this special limited edition: ‘The N635s 5.8 Nowack Edition”

The modified 5.8 liter V10 engine now throws out 718bhp at 9000rpm.

This is something we really like. A tuning company that doesn’t mess up the looks from the BMW M3 and optimizes the car for trackday use. Excellent!

The Stoptech M3 has 30 horsepower extra over the standard M3 and the torque increases with 40Nm. New brakes come from Stoptech and have a 380mm discs in the front, 355mm at the rear.

The whole brake kit weighs 8 kg less than the original M3 brakes. Also the new rimms are 1,5kg lighter per piece which also makes another 6kg. A new KW-sport suspension is added for better handling.

The exhaust system is replaced with a titanium one from Akrapovic which makes up for another 23kg.

Less weight and more power. We like it.

Hamann is one of the most honored BMW tuning companies and I have to say they did do a great job with the BMW 5GT. Hamann introduced lowering kits for the 530d, the 535i and the 550i including air suspension. The product range includes a front spoiler which is actually an add-on for the standard spoiler, new side skirts and a subtle rear spoiler. A new rear apron is added to make room for the Hamann mufflers.

It wouldn’t be Hamann if they didn’t have an engine performance program aswell. The 530d gains 30 bhp making a total of 275bhp and 620Nm torque which is actually more than the 535d.

The E92 isn’t really what you call a modest car but Vorsteiner brings us an aero kit which we can only describe as completely mental.

The kit exists out of a front carbon fiber bumper, carbon fiber front fenders, carbon fiber side skirts, carbon fiber rear quarter panels and a carbon fiber rear bumper. Enough carbon fiber for you?

One of the nicer features is the front bumper with the replacable front splitter. This kit is trully meant as a racecar kit for the road.

We already saw the BMW Gran Coupe concept pass by and BMW did confirm it will go into production. However we can probably get to get a taste of it pretty soon. After analysing spyshots we can confirm the two-door version of the car will be the new 6-series. The new post-Bangle design era has arrived.

On the engines we can only confirm they will use the 4.4-liter V8 with 402bhp and the new M-block producing 580bhp.

The coupe and convertible will probably hit the market in 2011 as the 2012 models. The 4-doors concept is planned for Q2 of 2012 but we will probably see pre-productions of the 2-door this year.

Pricing remains unknown.

Hamann Motorsport has always been one of my favorite tuning companies. Now they introduce a brand-new program for the E89 BMW Z4.

Hamann replaced the front spoiler with a new one which places two LED day lamps and also added new convincing side skirts which give the Z4 an even lower and longer appearance. Hamann also added a brand-new exhaust system with four tailpipes. A new rear spoiler completes the overall impressive appearance.

Improvements on the sDrive35i engine also have been made which also lifts the 250 km/h limitation. Tweaking of the production control device increased the power to 365bhp and results in a top speed of 285 km/h.

The BMW Z4 E89 is already a great looking car but Hartge think they can do better with their new aerodynamic kit program.

The kit basicly includes only a new front spoiler and a hood lid lip which are supposed to offer increased downforce on both axles of the car.

New rimms are also fitted.

G-Power is well known for tuning various M-models like the X5M and X6M. However this time they focus on the flagship in the luxury segment: the BMW 760i

G-Power didn’t just add a new bodykit but developed an overall concept improving aerodynamics, styling and performance tuning.

The performance tuning is the most impressive part. The bi-turbo 6-liter engine from BMW gets substantial modifications on the turbo chargers. This results in an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.2 seconds. After 11,9 seconds  you reach over 200km/h and a top speed of 345 km/h is possible thanks to the additional 181 bhp, resulting in a total of 725 bhp at 5.500 rpm.

On the aerodynamic side, G-Power adds a new carbon front skirt, a carbon rear spoiler and a carbon diffuser. The bonnet is made out of kevlar hybrid.

The wheels are G-Power Silverstone RS wheels measuring 22 inch and are fitted with Michelin tires.

Only 10 cars will be made at a price of 360.000 euro. There is also a long version available based on the 760li if you add 10.000 euros extra to the pricetag.
